Ronald D. Drumm

Ronald D. Drumm,79, Hamilton Township, died peacefully in his sleep on February 10, 2026. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Jane Van Wyck Drumm. He is survived by children, Andrew (Laura), Jennifer (Jimmy), Scott (Staci), and grandchildren, Dakota, Mitchell, Parker, and Mathias.

He was a proud alum of Zanesville High School and Ohio University(Botany). He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam era.

He was a Registered Sanitarian-Health Inspector for the City of Columbus for over 30 years. He took food safety seriously and was proud to have asked OSU to pave the concession stand floors in Ohio Stadium for more sanitary conditions. At one point he had inspected every vending machine in the city.

He most enjoyed waching sports including OSU Buckeyes and OU Bobcat football. He loved to collect clocks, bells, glassware, and barometers. He loved to go on family vacations in a van around the country.

Ron played trumpet in high school and loved the big band sound. He enjoyed listening to Lawrence Welk throughout his life.

Ron had a passion for all animal welfare especially his cats, every bird that flew near his house, and all the deer in the forest. He also loved photography of flowers, plants, and people. He was proud to remember the latin names of trees.

Visitation Monday, February 16, 2026 from 3pm until the time of Funeral Service at 4pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
