Ronald T. Erlenbach, age 83, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on October 27, 2026. Ron was born on June 6, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Chester and Margaret Erlenbach.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his great-grandson, Michael Beaver, great-granddaughter, Letty Behrens, brother, Paul Erlenbach, and special dog, Sam.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 40 years, Diana Erlenbach, children, Greg Erlenbach, Teri (John) Goodyear, Marc (Kris) Erlenbach, Dawn Cuckler, grandchildren, Amanda, Gabrielle, Allison, great-grandchildren, Cameron, Nevaeh, Anastasia, Destiny, Alexia, Avary, Kinnley, Mila, Mack, sister-in-law, Shirley Erlenbach, and niece, Melissa Miller.
Ron affectionately known as "Pops" was a decent, honest, hardworking man. He was the best dad and an amazing Pops. He lived to make his wife Diana, the love of his life, happy. He was fiercely protective of his wife and his family. He always kept an open door, as it never failed, someone needed to come home. They were always welcome. We can't think of a time Ron and Diana haven't had a family member living with them. He never complained, he just set up a place to sleep and welcomed us in. He was extremely proud of his family.
His granddaughter Allei was born on his birthday, he carried around an 8 x 10 photo showing everyone his "birthday gift." Now, he has welcomed a second birthday gift, his great-grandson Mack whom he was so thrilled to meet.
Ron enjoyed playing slot machines at the casino with his wife. He also loved being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed bowling. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. We find peace in knowing that he is reunited with his great-grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed. We love you Pops. Thank you for being the best husband, dad, and grandpa anyone could ever have.
Per Ron's wishes a dignified cremation will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home.
