Ronald Lee Jones, age 70, passed away on July 14, 2020 in his home and surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 29, 1949 to the late Lois and Frank Jones in Columbus, Ohio.
Ron was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and loved his country. He served 23 years including Vietnam and Desert Storm. He retired from the US Postal Service. Ron enjoyed traveling with his wife Bonnie, especially winters in Florida and trips to Mexico. Family was everything to him, Ron was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather "Opa" and great-grandfather. Ron never met a stranger and was kind to everyone.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 50 years, Bonnie; children, Lisa (Todd) Huber and Kevin Jones; brothers, Chuck (Nam) Jones, Ed (Sandy) Jones, Bruce (Joyce) Jones; grandchildren, Tiara (Josh) Johnson, Zoe Huber and Zara Huber; great-grandson, Jaylon Johnson and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Jones.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Obetz Cemetery, 4301 Groveport Road, Obetz, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: Hospice of Central Ohio.
