It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosalie "Roz" Fout, who left this world on January 26, 2026, at the age of 84 years. Born on June 7, 1941, in McArthur, Ohio, Rosalie brought love and joy to those around her, leaving indelible memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
Roz dedicated the majority of her life to being a housewife, channeling her passion for nurturing and caring into her home and family. Her greatest pride was undoubtedly her beloved family, which she cherished above all. Rosalie is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Aaron, who remained by her side through thick and thin. Together, they cultivated a love story that was both sweet and enduring, serving as an inspiration to all who knew them.
She is also survived by her sons, Michael (Diane) and Christopher Todd (Anita) Fout, along with many grandchildren who were fortunate enough to have known the warmth of her heart. Roz was a beloved figure not only to her immediate family but also to her nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom carried her spirit within them.
Rosalie's personality was a mosaic of kindness and exuberance; she was loving and outgoing, never meeting a stranger and always bringing smiles to those fortunate enough to encounter her. Her giving nature and boundless compassion were evident in everything she did, whether it was playing the piano for Sunday school, lending her talents to the church choir, or preparing delicious meals for her family. She found immense joy in square dancing and delighted in attending southern gospel concerts in Gatlinburg, and Der Dutchman, creating countless joyful memories with her loved ones. Her love for music developed early in her life as she was a member of the band and choir in high school
Her artistic spirit shone brightly, as she not only played the piano but also made clothing for her square dancing, demonstrating her boundless creativity and dedication. Spending time with Roz meant you would be enveloped in music, laughter, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals, a testament to her love for her family.
With a heart full of memories and accomplishments, Rosalie Fout is preceded in death by her parents, Oral G. and Lola (Jonas) Reed, as well as one brother and two sisters. Though they are no longer with us, their spirits will live on through the legacy of love they imparted on Roz.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life of Rosalie at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest in Grove City, Ohio. Visitation will take place on February 1, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and again on February 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Afterward, she will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio, at 2:30 PM.
