Rose D. Vanik, 85, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Rose was born in Columbus, OH on June 17, 1928, to the late Anthony and Lena (Rongione) Gualtieri.

She is survived by her beloved wonderful husband of 58 years, Gabriel; son, Gabriel (Nancy); sister, Jean (Charles) Varda; grandchildren, Anthony Vanik, Danielle (Michael) Best and Lora Vanik; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Malakai Best; brother-in-law, Joseph Vanik; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, 10:00 AM at St Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Road, Columbus, OH 43224.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
