Rose Esther Spaulding

Rose Esther Spaulding, 85, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Rose was born on January 21, 1933 in Cannel City, Kentucky to the late Elijha and Ethel (Davis) Allen.
In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her first husband, William F. Clark; brothers, Ernest and Everett Allen; sisters, Elizabeth Oldfield, Eva Perkins, Erie Walton and Edith Bryant.
She is survived by her husband, Boyd Spaulding; children, Joseph (Cindy) Clark, Susan Spurlock, James (Brandy) Clark, Jackie (Pam) Clark and Renee (Tim) Stiles; step-sons, Carl and Eric Spaulding; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Erma Fannin.
Rose was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren "bushels." She was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed traveling, biking and hiking. She also loved cooking for everyone.
Family will receive friends on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 10am to 12pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will immediately follow also at Newcomer NE Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Blendon Central Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose's memory to the ASPCA or the charity of the donor's choice.
