Roy Davis, born December 30, 1941 to Thomas and Mary (Hackworth) Davis, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016. He graduated from White's High School in Wabash, IN,in 1959.
Roy served in the Army, with the 58th Transportation Company from 1959-1961. He was a member of American Legion Post 0402 in Indiana.
He started serving the Lord in 1999. He studied to become and evangelist pastor in January, 2005. He loved serving the Lord and his church family and friends.
Roy enjoyed fishing, woodworking, small engine repair and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Denisa, 7 sons, 2 daughters, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 5 brothers, 1 sister, a very special mother-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers,1 sister and 1 son.
Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2-4 pm. The family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers to help offset expenses. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 2668, Westerville, OH 43086 in care of Denisa Davis.
