Roy E. Duke Sr.

Roy E. Duke Sr., age 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 24, 2020. He was born on June 5, 1940 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late George and Sadie "Ginnie" Duke.

He is preceded in death by his oldest son, Rick Duke; brother, Michael Duke; and sister in law, Doris Jackson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra Duke; daughter, Sonya (Chip) Moser; sons, Roy E. (Annette) Duke Jr., Mark (Teresa) Duke, Joshua (Laura) Duke; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; two aunts; many cousins; nieces, nephews, and many great friends. Roy was a faithful Christian servant and witness to all he met. Roy loved the Lord. He loved going fishing and hunting when he was younger. He loved to tell stories with his grandchildren and anyone he met. He was a member of the Gideons and attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church and Community Free Will Baptist Church. He was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him and never met a stranger. The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care he received from family doctor, Dr. Mark Ricaurte, Dr. Tarek Chidiac, and Deborah and all of the loving and caring staff at the Zangmeister Cancer Center.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, and again on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 pm.
