Royce Alan Fortney, age 87, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on November 12, 2025 surrounded by loved ones, Wife Kathryn Ann Grubb Fortney, Brother Haymon Gerald Fortney. Son Carl Ray Fortney (Pamela Anderson) , and daughter Tina Grace (Fortney) Coldiron. Sister n’ law Barbara Padovinni. brother n law, Randy Lee Grubb (Debbie Grubb) Niece, Cindy Rush Nephews, Derek Grubb, Nicholas Grubb grandkids Cheyenne (Kevin), Kayla, Joycelynn (Travis), Brandon, Skylar, Cheylynn. Great Grandkids, Harmony, Hunter, Emmi, Toby, Kayden, Jordan, Kinley, Alyssa, Ella Marion, Gracie, Nyla, Luka, Ella.

Royce, is proceeded by death by his parents Sara Viola Radcliff Fortney (mom), Fred F Fortney (dad), siblings Fred Fortney (infant baby boy), Virginia (Sister) Berry, Ella Mae Harrold, Emily Lea Kee, Edna Gae Ganice, Fred Earl Fortney, Nelson Eddie Fortney. Great Grandkids, Mia, Baby Lankford.

Royce lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and deep love for family. A proud veteran of the United States Army for 20 years, he served his country with honor and continued to carry that same strength and integrity throughout his life.

We honor the life of our beloved grandfather, husband, dad, brother, a proud veteran whose strength, courage, and quiet kindness shaped everyone who knew him. He served his country with unwavering dedication, carrying those values with him long after his time in uniform. To us, he was more than a hero—he was our steady rock, our storyteller, our source of wisdom and love. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the sacrifices he made, and the family he cherished above all else. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing he is finally at peace, and his spirit will forever guide us.
