Ruth Kathryn Holden Beard passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2018. Ruth was born December 24th, 1932 in Toledo, OH, the daughter of William and Dolores Holden.
She married her high school sweetheart Raymond Beard in November 1950. Together they raised three children Lisa, Ted and Susan and her granddaughter, Wendy Engler. Ruth was preceded in death by her father William, mother Delores, stepfather Howard Shaw, husband Ray, brother Bill Holden, sister Mary Jacob and son-in-law Rick Napier.
Survived by loving brothers and sisters: Grace Trott (Dick), Laurie Juliano (John), Jo'an Vosbury (Don), Karen Nelson, Bud Shaw (Vicki) and brother-in-law Dean Jacob. Her children: Lisa Napier (Jimmy), Ted Beard, Susan Garland (Mark). Grandchildren: Wendy (Ian), Ashley, Jolene (Kevin), Amy (Mark), Brandi and Emily. Great Grandchildren: Kaylee, Lilly, Ryan, Addilynn, Emma, Gavin and Nova. Known to so many as "Ruthie", she gave her time, her love and her home to the many children she babysat, who would later bring their own children to the same loving woman that cared for them.
Ruth's memory will live on in the many hearts of those whose lives she touched. Ruth's service will be held at Newcomer's Funeral Home in Grove City on Monday, January 29th.
Family and friend visitation will begin at 5:00 pm and the memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm.
