Ruth M Vangundy

Ruth M (Locke) VanGundy, age 89 of Columbus, passed away on October 16, 2023. She was born on October 18, 1933 to the late Russell and Mary (Nace) Bodkins in Lockbourne, OH. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband George VanGundy, son Craig Locke, sisters Nancy Willoughby and Rosemary Lozier, grandchild Chad Locke and daughter-in-law Cindy Locke. Ruth is survived by her children Michael (Diane) Locke, Kathy (David) Humphrey and Gary Locke, grandchildren Bill, Brandy, Mandy, Rob, Angela, Yolonda Locke and Kaitlyn Feyh, sister Sis Cline, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ruth retired from Big Lots after many years.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Funeral service on Monday at the funeral home at 11:00am with Guiles Richardson officiating. Burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
