Ryan Anthony Spurlock, age 24, of Columbus Ohio, passed away in a car accident Sunday morning on January 28, 2018.
Ryan was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 24, 1993 to David S. Spurlock and Angela L. (Oliver) Duty. Ryan was baptized into the family of God on May 4, 2009.
Ryan married his best friend Lydia Talisse on December 11, 2016 and welcomed his other best friend, his son, Anthony Charles Spurlock on March 1, 2017. He worked as a Grounds Tech at Scioto Downs where he loved driving his John Deere tractor. Ryan had the kindest heart. He loved helping people. He could fix anything and loved to make people laugh. Ryan was devoted to all of his family. If someone called he was right there. Lydia was his best friend and his "Girl". Anthony was his greatest joy. Proudly pointing to him and saying, "I created that." They were the best of buddies.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert L. and Mary L. Oliver; his grandfather, Stearl Spurlock; sister, Clarissa Spurlock and brother, Michael Hutter.
He is survived by his wife Lydia Spurlock; his son, Anthony Spurlock; parents, David Spurlock and Angela Duty; grandparents, Diana and Harold Spurlock; sisters, Tracey, Ashley, Taylor and Alyssa; brothers, David, Shawn and Josh; nephews, David and Adyan; niece, Peyton; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited Monday, February 5, 2018 to Newcomer Funeral Home 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 Visitation will be 11a.m.-1p.m. followed by a short service.
Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery 1000 Greenlawn Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43223.
