Sandra Kay Duke

Sandra Kay Duke,  age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by family and loved ones, on July 3, 2025. She was born on January 29, 1943, in Hamden, Ohio, to the late Earl and Ocie (Wooten) Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Roy E. Duke, her oldest son, Rick Duke; brothers, Gary Jackson, Earl Eugene Jackson, and George Jackson; 3 special sisters, Barbara McCue, Doris Jackson, and Lillis Beck.

She is survived by; daughter, Sonya (Chip) Moser; sons, Roy E. (Annette) Duke Jr., Mark (Teresa) Duke, Joshua (Laura) Duke, daughter in law, Naomi Ann Ramirez; 22 loving grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; many cousins; nieces, nephews, and friends. She is also survived by her special friends, Donna, Ginnie, Joyce, Kathy, and Sharon, and special nieces, Jada and Erica.

Sandra loved spending time with her family, and especially loved being a mom, mama and great-grandma. Her kitchen was open all hours for the grandkids. She loved cooking holiday meals, surrounded by family. She loved her flowers, including pulling weeds. She loved going to church when she was able and reminiscing about her childhood Sunday school classes and songs they would sing at VBS. She loved thrift stores and yard sales. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mark Ricaurte, and Dr. Gina Moody for taking excellent care of her through the years. Also special thanks to her hospice nurses, Pam and Erica, her amazing aide, Ashley, and Baylee from Mt. Carmel GC. These ladies also took excellent care of our mom.

Visitation for Sandra will be on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Creekside Church, 6446 Alkire Road, Galloway, Ohio from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and at 9:00am to 10:00am, Saturday July 12, 2025, with a funeral service to follow at 10:00am at the church. Burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery at 11:30am.
