GO SOFTLY THROUGH THE SEASONS
I am born in Spring
With every leaf bud on every tree,
With each tiny blade of new green grass
Life surges forth in me.
My maturity comes in Summer
In lush floral-fragrant nights
I ripen as a garden
Soaking up both sun and rain
With indiscriminate delight.
I show my true colors in Autumn,
All the bright, diverse facets of me,
Undaunted by winds that alter my course,
Lifting and setting me free.
I find peace and serenity in Winter
As snowflakes kiss each deep line on my face.
I fall asleep blanketed in trust of God's care.
My seasons have led me to grace.
