Sandy Jones

Sandra Lee Jones, 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, dog, and family on October 30, 2026. Sandy is preceded in death by parents, Miriam and Walter; sisters, Donna and Christina; and step-son, Harry A. Jones II.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Harry Jones; children, Ron (Carolyn) VanDyne, Don (Brenda) VanDyne, Chrys (Roger) Rice, Colleen (Gary) Behnke, Brenda Jones, and Brian Jones; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.

Sandy worked for the State of Ohio Bookmobile and Stuckeys, and retired from Reiser's Auto Body.

In Sandy's free time, you could often find her sitting down to read a good book, singing to her dear dog, Missy, or watching her grandchildren fish in their pond. She would also be seen out on the mower taking care of her yard, until she was unable to do so. On your birthday, you could always expect an early phone call from her to sing you Happy Birthday. Sandy also loved to host holiday celebrations, especially Christmas, where she would bring out her specially made homemade candies. She cared for animals and gave a loving home to four rescued dogs. Sandy could make everyone feel special and she will be deeply missed.

Visitation Friday November 6, 2026 from 9-10am, with Funeral Service beginning at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio (614-539-6166). Interment to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy's memory to Meals on Wheels.
