Sara Lynn Bliffen, of Pickerington, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 27th at the age of 63. Born March 30, 1963, Sara built a life rooted in faith, love, laughter, and the simple joy of caring for those around her. For 42 years, she stood behind a chair in Westerville, where she was more than a hairdresser—she was a trusted friend to generations of clients who remained loyal for her warmth, her listening ear, and the way she made everyone feel like the most important person in that moment.
When Sara wasn’t working, she cherished time with family and friends and found joy in baking anything she could find a recipe for—especially pecan pie for her late husband. She enjoyed traveling to the Outer Banks and reading while relaxing in the sunshine. After his passing, she devoted more time to her faith and journaling, deepening her relationship with Jesus.
Sara is survived by her two sons, Heath (Stacie) Stanley of Westerville, Ohio, and Levi (Maggie) Stanley of Collierville, Tennessee; her five grandchildren; her brother, Ray (Debbie) Emerson of New Albany, Ohio; her sister, Sandy Emerson of Columbus, Ohio and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Joe” Bliffen; her parents, Ray and Mary Emerson; and her sisters, Cheri (Ron) Sabo and Sue Ritchie.
She leaves behind a legacy of service, devotion, and a love that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
