Sara Jane Ledford

Sara Jane "Sally" Ledford, age 79 of Westerville, passed away on May 20, 2018 at Mt. Carmel/St. Ann's Hospital from complications of a heart attack. She was born on September 19, 1938 in Rochester, PA. Sara was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated Christ follower, who shared her faith in both word and deed, active leader and Bible study teacher at Westerville Church of the Nazarene. She taught kindergarten for 30+ years in Bedford, OH and after retirement taught ESOL for 15 years and was actively teaching at the time of her death. Sara is survived by husband of 56 years James Ledford Sr., sons James (Shelli) Ledford Jr and Pastor Mark (Jill) Ledford, grandchildren Kauri Ledford, Kayla (Kyle) Hamilton, Zachary Ledford, Caleb Ledford, Connor Ledford and Camden Ledford, great grandchild (on the way) Violet Hamilton, sister Linda (Larry) Arnett and sister-in-law Dorothy McKinney. Preceded in death by parents Arnold Headlund and Ida "Sissy" Headlund, brother William McKinney and sister Elizabeth "Tootsie" Cain.

Friends may call at Westerville Church of the Nazarene 355 Cherrington Rd., Westerville, OH on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 6pm to 9pm.

Funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11am with Rev. Jeff Gilkerson officiating.

Burial to follow at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville, OH.
