Scott P. Rush, 51, Columbus, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep, Sunday, February 7, 2016. Scott was born in Dayton, OH on June 26, 1964, to Peter F. and Barbara (Harrison) Rush and is preceded in death by his father; mother and father-in-law, Clayborn and Anita Gordon; brothers-in-law, Jeff Gordon and David Dwyer.
Scott is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan (Gordon) Rush; daughter, April (Kevin) Henning and their child, Xain; mother, Barbara Rush; sisters, Mary Fry and Julie (Tod) Schmidt; brothers, Doug (Angie) Rush and Joe Rush; sister-in-law, Kim Dwyer; niece, Carissa McBride; great-niece, Kaylee McBride; many other beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Scott worked for Monro Muffler, Brake and Services for many years prior to his diagnosis of Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Scott was the first in the world to participate in a trial study to help aid in the treatment of those newly diagnosed with MS. Throughout Scott's illness, he continued caring for his family and touching many lives, whether it be at the service station or White Castle. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, February 13, 2016, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 with the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
