Sharon Marie Libert passed away peacefully at her Canal Winchester home on December 26, 2025, after a decade-long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Sharon offered kindness and warmth to everyone she met and instilled strength, independence, compassion and curiosity in her children and grandchildren.
She was an avid reader and lifelong learner, a teacher, a gardener, and an explorer who loved to travel and took every opportunity to appreciate nature's beauty.
She loved music and art, and camping on the beaches of Northern Michigan. She rose above adversity with grace – and celebrated each of life’s moments with family by her side.
She leaves behind her husband, Arthur, her children, Alexa (Sebastian) Broyles and Sean Libert, and three grandchildren, Avery, Melody and Cooper. She is also survived by her two sisters, Carol (Tony) Note and Susie (David) Redding, and her brother, Robert (Janet) Hoehn.
Born Dec. 15, 1950, Sharon Marie Libert was the second eldest child of Elmer and Betty Jean Hoehn. Born and raised in Lima, Ohio, she attended St. John’s and Lima Central Catholic and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1977. She married Arthur Libert in 1978.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held in the spring.
Though Sharon’s presence will be missed beyond words, her memory lives on through the many lives she touched, and cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
