Sharon Kay Rader, 85, of Columbus, OH, passed away on August 23, 2026. She was born on February 14, 1941 in Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Evelyn (Connard) Romine, sister, Jeannine (Richard) Green, son, Todd Alan Rader, nephew, Christopher Lee Romine.
Surviving family includes daughter, Kay Lynn (Robert) Olewnik, brother, Terry (Sue) Romine, nieces: Kellie Lee Green and Kim Marie (Green) Gaal, nephews: Kip Romine, William Romine, and Sean Green. Sharon loved worshiping at The Newman Center, for 20 plus years, that gave her so much joy and wonderful, long-time friendships. Sharon was always on the go, she loved to drive, she would take off to small towns to shop or find a restaurant to try. Also, she loved just taking a drive with her beloved dog Daisy, Sharon had many dogs in her life, she always loved animals and definitely passed that love to her children Kay Lynn and Todd Alan. Sharon loves to dance and was always swaying or bopping to the music. She loved writing poems for people and she would personalize them for special occasions like birthday's or anniversary's. Sharon's energy, beautiful smile and bright blue eyes would light up any space she entered and when she left, she told each person "I love you" along with her "Goodbye" Dementia tried to darken my Mom's light, but it never was able to overpower her love for people and life. She was so well cared for and loved by all of the people at Country View of Sunbury, we were so blessed to have my Mom in such a top rated nursing home that if you would like to make a donation in Memory of Sharon Rader, please send it to: Country View of Sunbury, Attn: Activities Fund, 14961 N Old 3C Road, Sunbury, OH 43074, I know that she would love for her friends to be able to take a day trip on the bus, maybe to a small town to have lunch.
