Shawn Lynch

Shawn Lynch, age 39, of Obetz, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2025. Shawn was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to the surviving Cherrye Lynch.

He is preceded in death by his special Mawmaw, Marilyn Johnson and Papaw, Kenneth Johnson, maternal grandparents, Gerald Lynch and Carolyn Lynch.

He is lovingly survived by his mom, Cherrye Lynch, the mother of his children and life partner, Jennifer Self, sons, Isaac, Desmond, and Emmett, and a host of extended family and numerous friends.

He was the biggest Florida State Seminoles fan. He loved listening to music and playing the drums. He enjoyed playing video games with his sons. Shawn was very quick-witted and passionate about politics. He was very opinionated. He loved a good argument and a good drink. But, the most important thing to him was his boys.

He will be deeply missed.
