Sheila Ann Ingram McNeil, affectionately known as Shorty, She She, or Sheila Bug, passed away on November 19, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on October 13, 1955, in London, Kentucky, Sheila lived a life rich in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Sheila was the heart of her family and the soul of every gathering. For 50 years, she shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, Anthony McNeil—a partnership built on mutual respect, joy, and an unbreakable connection. Together they raised their daughter Sha'Rie McNeil, and watched with pride as their family grew to include two beloved grandsons: Anthony Pierre Davis and Kenneth Jabari Gibbs.

Sheila’s roots ran deep in a close-knit family. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: sister Connie Ingram, sister Nancy Johnson, and brother Raleigh Ingram. Her memory is also cherished by many extended relatives and friends whose lives were touched by her warmth. She now joins in rest her mother, Myrtle Knisley; father Raleigh Ingram; stepfather Harold Knisley; brother Harry Lee Goble; and sister Alberta Wright.

Throughout her life, Sheila was defined by what she called the four “F” words: Family, Friends, Food, and Fun. These weren’t just hobbies—they were the pillars of her existence. Whether gathered around a dinner table filled with home-cooked meals or sharing stories that sparked belly laughs and joyful tears, Sheila created spaces where everyone felt welcome and loved.

Her laughter was unmistakably genuine—full-bodied and contagious—and when she cried or loved, it came from the deepest parts of her being. There was no pretense in Sheila’s presence; she lived authentically and gave herself fully to every moment. Her heart was vast—so full of compassion that words can scarcely capture its size.

A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held following services among those who knew her best—surrounded by the same love and joy she so freely gave throughout her years.
