Sherry Ann Worden

Sherry Ann Worden, age 54, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on December 19, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio.

Born and raised in Columbus, Sherry graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1989. She also spent a cherished chapter of her life living in the Florida Keys, where her love for nature, art, and the outdoors flourished.

Sherry worked as a housekeeper, a role that reflected her care for others and attention to detail. Most devotedly, she was a full-time caregiver to her mother, Donna Karney, a responsibility she embraced with love, compassion, and selflessness.

Sherry was kind, compassionate, feisty, and quick-witted, with an artistic soul and a creative spirit. She had a unique ability to find beauty in the world around her and express it through her creativity. She found joy in tending to her plants, being outdoors, relaxing on the beach, creating art, and spending meaningful time with loved ones.

She is survived by her loving mother, Donna Karney (Tomlinson); her children, Khristopher Wordenand Jewel Worden; her sister, Jennifer Karney; and her beloved grandchildren, Haley, Kaleb, Mara, Penelope, Audriana, and Avery. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Karney.

A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions – Northeast, located at 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. Words in remembrance of Sherry and her life will commence at 2:45 p.m.
