Shirlee J. Raymond, 83, of Columbus, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born January 16, 1932 in Columbus, daughter of the late John C. and Margaret L. Edgington Luft.
In addition to her parents, Shirlee was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Raymond; grandson, Joshua M. Raymond; best friend and fellow snoop sister, Mary Lou Posey.
She retired from Ohio Bell with 42 years of service and was also a chairman of Pioneers.
Shirlee is survived by her son, John M. Raymond; sister, Sharyn L. Ihde; grandchildren, Sean C. Raymond, Alaina R. (Curt) Scarberry and Mickaila E. Raymond; great grandchildren, Samantha L. Bell, Isiah A. Raymond and Joshua M. Scarberry; niece, Sheryl (Gary) Johnston; nephew, D. Scott Ihde; special friend, Pam Cobbs; beloved dog, Jake.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 3:00-6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with a rosary service at 5:30 PM.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. James The Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Ave. Columbus.
Interment will be in Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1950 Arlingate Lane Columbus, OH 43228.
