Shirley Ann Bauer

Shirley Ann Bauer was born on May 29, 1935, in Washington Court House, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. Shirley lived a life filled with love, kindness, and laughter.

Shirley was a devoted mother who took great pride in raising her children. She had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. She loved pets dearly and was known for being very kind and giving to those around her.  Shirley's 19 year old furry companion, Clyde will miss her dearly.  

In her free time, Shirley enjoyed traveling in her RV, camping, and spending the winters in Florida. She also liked spending time golfing, which brought her joy and relaxation.  

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Glen Bauer Jr., Leann (Joe) Scaggs, Julie (Terry) Varney, Bob (Louise Whiteman) Bauer, and Guy Bauer. Her grandchildren Heidi, Eric, Autumn, and Craig held a special place in her heart, as did her great-grandchild Ryan.  

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Clydus C. Stinson; her mother, Bernice L. Stinson; her husband, Glen M. Bauer Sr.; and her grandchild, Derek Bauer.

Shirley Ann Bauer’s warm spirit and caring nature touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Visitation Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 10:30am until 11:30am at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.  Funeral Service to follow immediately at 11:30am.  Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway.
