Sonja Lynn Jordan, age 67, of Columbus passed away June 9, 2017. Sonja was born August 14, 1949 in Portsmouth, OH.
Preceding her in death are her parents Russell and Nora Jordan.
Sonja is a 1967 graduate from Franklin Heights High School, earning an educational program certificate in Business Administration. She graduated from MATA College with honors in 1968 with key punch certification, and in 1970 with computer operations. Sonja retired from the Ohio Department of Public Safety in 1999 with 31 years of service, where she brought proficiency and expertise to many challenging assignments, and was an asset to the department.
She leaves a loving and supportive aunt, Ruby Williams that advocated for Sonja's best interests always, and a steadfast sister, Susie Carr. We wish her eternal peace.
The family acknowledges the companionship of Betty and Cliff Williams, and the work of the staff at Woodview Care and Mt. Carmel Hospice for making Sonja's stay comfortable.
The family will receive friends Wednesday June 14, 2017 at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad Street, Galloway, OH 43119 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Hope starting at 11am until time of service at 12pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in Sonja's memory to Mt. Carmel Hospice.
