Sophia L. Scalf, 71, passed away Nov. 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by parents, Arthur "Pet" and Ollie Jane McCoy; and husband, Cleston "Buster" Scalf.
Sophia is survived by children, Art (Sandra Dee) Scalf, Connie (the late Toledo Atkins) Scalf, Mable Jane (Thomas) Maccabee, and Wilma (William) Thompson; 14 grandchildren, Olivia, Nick, Daniel, Tiffany, Mathew, Tabbatha, Tambrallina, Tearrah, Ashley, Adam, Josh, Willie, Patty, and Ricky; many great-grandchildren; siblings, George "Trimble" (Mary) McCoy, Mary Pauline (Floyd "Allen") Smith, Lorraine Newsome, Roscoe (Jan) McCoy, Fonso (Sherry) McCoy, and Darrell McCoy; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
Sophia was a mom and grandma to many and never knew a stranger.
Visitation Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at 9: 30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
