Stella Woolwine Jarrells

Stella was born May 21, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to Helen and Robert Darbyshire. Stella had many siblings to grow up with, Linda (Jerry), Helen Marie, Martha, Marvin, James - Jim Bob (Tammy), Shirley (Freida), and Bobby (Linda). Stella had many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews that she loved very much.

Stella worked hard for Cott for 20 years. She had two handsome sons whom she loved more than anything and would fight hard to make sure they were happy in life. Dusty her firstborn married to Jacci, gave her three amazing grandbabies as she always called them no matter how old they got. She adored them and loved them relentlessly. Lexi, Dylon, and Cameron. Eric her youngest married to Jess also gave her two amazing grandbabies, Katie (Michael) and Ary. Right before Stella passed Katie gave her a great grandbaby, Weston. Along with Dusty and Eric, Stella had a nephew, Chris whom she loved and adored more like a son. Chris spent much time growing up in Stella's home with both Dusty and Eric.

Stella met the love of her life in 1995 John Jarrells and gained a beautiful daughter, Christy. Christy also gave Stella two amazing grandbabies, Isabel and Emily. Stella and John made their lives about spending all of their time with one another and with their grandbabies.

The grandkids loved spending time down in the holler with Mamal (Grandma) and Pap Pap, having s'mores by the fire, catching lightning bugs, crushing pop cans and during the summer playing in the water with the water hose. Stella expressed to the world every chance she got how much she loved her two sons and how proud of them she was. She was especially proud of her grandbabies and expressed her undying love for them any chance she got.

John and Stella spent 20 plus years together and even though they weren't married during those years she always lit up and never missed a chance when she could introduce and refer to John as her husband. Stella's only wish before she passed was to marry the love of her life and have a ceremony to celebrate. Select Specialty in Newark, Ohio where Stella was receiving her care gave Stella and John the ceremony of a lifetime by allowing them to exchange their vows to one another. The nurses at Select Specialty dolled Stella up, made her a beautiful wedding bouquet of flowers, and celebrated with them. Stella went peacefully to meet Jesus on the day she promised her vows to John, with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

Calling hours for visitations and final goodbyes will be on Thursday, May 21, 2020, from 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home
3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio 43123. Funeral Ceremony will be Friday, May 22, 2020, at 10 am with food to follow. All are welcome!
