Stephen L. Ballard of Columbus passed Wednesday June 3, 2026.

Stephen was born March 3, 1953 to Willis E. Ballard and Minnie F, (Landman) Ballard,

He is preceded in death by his parents and Aunt Evelyn Held of Huntsville, AL

He is survived by his brother Philip Ballard (Bertha) of Columbus. Niece: Heather Baker (Jeremy) of Westerville and Nephews Jeremy Richards (Melanie) of Columbus, Justin Richards (Kayla) of Coeburn, VA and Zachery Stewart (Danielle) of Columbus. Great niece: Kara Francis.

Steve was a graduate of Franklin Heights High School and went on to earn a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the Ohio State University.

Steve enjoyed golfing, bowling, NASCAR and OSU Football along with pizza and beer.
