Listen to Obituary

Stephen “Steve” Juliano, 80, of Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 7:01 PM at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Born on February 10, 1946, Stephen lived a life shaped by quiet strength, loyalty, and a deep appreciation for the people and experiences that mattered most to him.

Stephen is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine Juliano, and his daughter, Nadine Juliano, both of whom he carried in his heart every day. He is survived by his son, Stephen Juliano II (“Jules”), his pride and closest companion.

Stephen shared an especially close bond with his son, Stephen Juliano II (“Jules”), who was not only his son but his closest companion in life. He cherished the countless memories they created together attending sporting events, laughing at the jokes Jules would tell, and enjoying the simple comfort of each other’s company. Some of their most meaningful moments were spent side by side while building their home in Powell, creating memories in every corner of it that will remain forever in Jules’ heart.

He also leaves behind many family members across the New England and East Coast regions, as well as cherished friends throughout the United States.

Among those who held a special place in his life was Erin Ramey, a dear friend who became like family to Stephen and his son over the past year, offering support, care, and companionship during meaningful moments. Her presence, devotion, and kindness continued even after his passing, standing by his family and honoring him with the same loyalty and love she showed him in life. Stephen was also blessed with the long-standing friendship of Peter Girardi, David Tate, Roger Boice, and Scott Headley, who supported him for many years and remained constant in his life.

Highly educated and endlessly knowledgeable, Stephen built a successful personal business in the electrical and wholesale products field. His professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic earned him deep respect from colleagues and clients alike.

Outside of work, Stephen enjoyed a life full of interests and simple pleasures. He loved attending sporting events, watching games, traveling, and spending time at his summer home in Sebastian, Florida, where he formed a close-knit community of friends. He was a passionate collector of sports memorabilia, appreciating the stories and history behind each piece.

At home in Powell, Ohio, Stephen found peace in nature—especially in the deer that often wandered through his wooded backyard, animals he watched with quiet affection. He often photographed them and shared many of those photos with others, bringing him joy and connection.

Though private by nature, Stephen was a loyal and caring friend. He was known for his kindness, generosity, sharp wit, and the depth of knowledge he carried on nearly any subject. Those who knew him understood that behind his reserved demeanor was a man with a big heart and a lasting impact on the people around him.

Stephen’s legacy lives on in the people he loved, the friendships he built, and the many ways he touched the lives of others.

Stephen will be cremated at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, Ohio 43065. Honoring the way he lived—private, simple, and quietly dignified—there will be no viewing or service held at the facility. A private celebration of life for his friends and family will be held at a later date, with details to be shared when available.

Friends and loved ones are also encouraged to share photos and sign the guestbook on the Newcomer Funeral Home website provided in his online obituary.
