Stephen James Patronsky, 80, born November 29, 1945, in Columbus, to the late Corporal Stephen John Patronsky and Suzanne (Cleveland) Patronsky. He married Sandra Moreland on December 17, 1966.
Along with his loving wife, Stephen is survived by his sons, Nathaniel (Susan) Patronsky and Craig (Tiffany) Patronsky; his grandchildren, Natasha (Pierce), Shiloh (Ryan), and Cameron; his great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Guiliana; his brother, John Patronsky; and many other family members and friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.
Stephen graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1963. Then he attended George Williams College, earning his bachelor’s and master's degrees in social work. He moved from Chicago to become the Director of the Southeast Neighborhood Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, from 1969 to 1985. He moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1985, where he worked at Franklin County Children’s Services until his retirement in 2011.
When not working, Stephen enjoyed the outdoors. He liked camping, traveling, and especially fishing. He enjoyed watching sports and theater at all levels, the more obscure the better. During soccer season, he had a regular watch group. He loved learning about history, visiting historical sites, and had a respectful interest for battlefields. Mostly, he loved spending time with his friends and family and was deeply devoted to both.
Immediate family will hold private services at their convenience. The Newcomer family appreciates the opportunity to serve the Patronsky family.
