Stephen Rahl

Stephen Rahl, 81, of Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026.

Raised in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, Steve earned his degree from Pennsylvania State University before beginning a 35-year career as a design engineer and manager at Procter & Gamble. His work with P&G took him from the Susquehanna River Valley to Cincinnati, Ohio, and he took particular pride in the projects that sent him overseas to Japan and Germany. He later was a founding partner at Creative Advantage Alliance, a consultancy focused on creative problem solving.

Steve loved woodworking and kept a shop at home where he built useful items for his home and for friends and family. He served as president of the Pisgah Youth Organization and of his local HOA over the years, and was a fixture at Four Bridges Country Club, serving as president of the senior golf association there. In retirement, he and Peggy traveled extensively across Europe and North America.

Steve will be remembered for his quick wit, always smiling and joking, and rarely without a tune he was humming or whistling. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (Peggy) Rahl; his sons, Ken (Amy) and Scott (Amy); grandchildren Nathan, Natalie, Olivia, Rachel, and Adam; and his brothers, Norbert and Alfred. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Johanna Rahl.

Immediate family will gather for a private prayer service and interment on Friday, October 9, at Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to join for a Celebration of Life on Sunday October 11, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Wedgewood Country Club, 9600 Wedgewood Blvd, Powell, OH.
