Susan Reigh Mitchem
February 14, 1959 — November 13, 2018
Susan R. Mitchem, 59 years old, Grove City resident, formerly of Ashtabula, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Johnson, and her husband, Phillip Mitchem. She is survived by her two children, Victoria and Sean Mitchem; daughter in-law Olivia (Lauritzen) Mitchem; by her brothers Alan (Penny) and Calvin Johnson; her loving mother, Melva Yvonne Johnson; and her guide dog, Anchor.
A graduate of Edgewood High School and Ohio State University, she worked in Ashtabula and Columbus, OH, followed by homeschooling her children until she retired. Her hobbies included reading, quilting and gardening.
Special thanks to Susan's friends in Grove City for all of their love & support during her residence there.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Susan's honor to the organization which provided her guide dog.
