Sybil A. Carey, 69, Columbus, went home to join her loved ones, on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Sybil was born in Huntington, WV on December 17, 1945, to Lorenzo and Thelma (Cornute) Pleasant and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfonza Carey and brother, William "PeeWee" Pleasant.
She is survived by her son, Shawn (Stacey) Carey. Sr; grandchildren, Fantasia Dixon, Itika, Makaii and Shawn Carey; sisters, Mary (Charles), Connie and Donnis Pleasant; brothers, Roland (Carol), Arthur (Gail), Thurman (Vera) and Herman (Sarah) Pleasant; nieces, nephews and extended family.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Wesley Church of Hope, 2935 Bulen Avenue, Columbus, OH 43207 with the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
