Taworn Jones of Westerville, Ohio passed away peacefully with her son and daughter by her side on the morning of July 28th 2020.
Taworn was born on December 6th 1950 to Duang and Jai Somnuknone in Chaiyaphum, Thailand in a farming community and was one of eight children. She grew up working on her father's farm tending to livestock and crops. Taworn worked at the U.S. Air Force base in Korat, Thailand before immigrating to the United States in 1973 at the age of 23.
Taworn loved to create and sew clothing and blankets for her children and grandchildren. She spent a lot of her time gardening and cooking delicious Thai food for family and friends. The true joy in her life was spending time with her grandchildren. Taworn was known for her never-ending work ethic, strength and resourcefulness.
Taworn is survived by three of her sisters and two brothers, her son Allen (Sarah) Jones, Mandy (Matt) Morrison, and grandchildren Max, Colin, Merritt, Monroe, Gwyn, and Landry.
Donations can be made in her memory to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University.
