Taylor Elysabeth Schoonover, Age 28, left our world on Monday, October 19, 2026.
Taylor loved so many things. She loved animals of all kinds, especially her puppies Tank, Cindy Lou, Trixie, and her soul dog, Duchess, who will continue to look for her.
She loved playing Buddy Ball and being coached by her daddy. She loved fishing with her friends at Fishing Has No Boundaries. She loved music and dancing and was never shy to tear up the dance floor at the Night to Shine or any other chance she got. She loved being the center of attention, so pageantry came naturally, with her highest title being Ms. Diversity Star.
Taylor saved countless lives by changing the way Group B strep is handled at birth.
Her personality was larger than life. It was impossible not to be happy in her presence. She was pure magic.
Greeting her in heaven are her grandfather, Mike Schoonover, her dogs, Molly, Holly, and Prince, her great-grandparents Dolores and Leo Schoonover, Phil and Mary Porter, Joseph Stump, Donna Swartz, and Pauline Thompson.
Taylor is survived by her loving parents Becky and Mark Swartz and Adam and Heather Porter, as well as her sister and best friend Nova Porter. Grandmothers Candy Schoonover, Sharon Glaze, Barb Schoonover, and grandparents Susan and David Porter. Great-grandmother Phyllis Stump, Great-grandparents John and Helen Preklas, her Aunt Amy Schoonover, Uncle Tuffy Swartz, Carly and Kris Plough, Kara Schoonover, Megan and Derek West, Alison Porter, Matthew Porter, and John and Jennifer Hornak.
She also leaves behind many Great-aunts and uncles, beloved cousins, and cherished friends.
This world was simply a better place with Taylor in it.
