Ted Lee Carpenter, 56, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on August 10, 2020.
Ted was a millwright and steel fabricator for many years. One of his last projects in the steel trade-and his proudest-was serving on the team that constructed the Short North Arches. Ted was most recently employed by the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities as a facilities manager.
Ted will be remembered as a free spirit who was happiest when he was playing his guitar, wrenching or riding his motorcycle. Ted was a patriot who loved God, music and his country.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Carpenter, and his daughters, Michelle (Andy) Rose and Kelsey Parks, and grandsons, Cameron Rose and Carter Rose, as well as brothers, Charles Carpenter, John (Linda) Carpenter, and Jan (Joanie) Carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles E. Carpenter and Bertha Carpenter and by his son, Kyle Parks.
