Teresa Mehnert, 48, of Gahanna, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at her residence.
She was born April 5, 1966 at Tinker A.F.B. Oklahoma City, OK.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Leon Mehnert; daughters, Carmen Stewart and Alaina Mehnert; son, Luke Mehnert; granddaughter, Lily Stewart; mother, Opal Bookout Servant; sisters, Deena (Richard) Guilmette and Melissa (Dwayne) Crawford; brother, Brian Servant; father-in-law, Warren Mehnert.
She was a member of the Moms group and enjoyed camping, hiking, biking, skiing and scrapbooking. Teresa loved spending time with her family and supporting her children in school, activities and sports. She was employed at Defense Finance and Accounting Service with 25 years of service.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Norman Servant and mother-in-law, Anita Mehnert.
Visitation will be Monday, July 14, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be in Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Columbus Cancer Clinic Life Care Alliance, 1699 W. Mound St. Columbus, OH 43223.
Teresa was a kind person with a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
