Thomas Haines Merritt, 73, Columbus died January 30, 2017.
He was born March 24, 1943, the son of Marthena S. Merritt and Charles Webster Merritt.
He was a graduate of Ohio University.
Survived by cousins Steve Massie and Dave Massie; niece Mandy Merritt; and nephew Tim Merritt.
Preceded in death by parents Marthena Merritt and Charles Webster Merritt and brother Charles Webster Merritt.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Plattsburg United Church of Christ (www.plattsburgucc.org/contact), Plattsburg, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Kobacker House c/o Ohio Health Foundation.
