Tom Arnold

Thomas "Tom" William Arnold, 72, passed away on March 22, 2026. He was born on January 20, 1954 in Columbus, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Thelma Arnold, infant brother, Edward Arnold.

He is survived by his wife Sue of 51 years, daughter, Christy (Dave) Akina, son, Mike (Diane Jehn) Arnold, granddaughters, Callie and Caitlyn Akina, siblings, Carol Frasure, Phyllis (Spencer) Truman and several nieces and nephews. He left a family who truly loved him and will forever hold memories of him in their hearts.

Tom had a real passion for music both playing and teaching guitar. He also loved listening to some good tunes! He also had a passion for carving canes, working on cars and building street rods. His greatest enjoyment was making toys and building go-carts along with trails and obstacle courses for his granddaughters.

He had a true wanderlust for motorcycle traveling which took him from coast to coast. His most memorable trip was with his nephew Andy. A five week motorcycle/camping trip from home through Alaska, the Artic circle and the Northwest Territory. He had a smile on his face the entire time.

Tom retired from the Columbus City Schools as a HVAC technician. After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his Burger King breakfast club buddies talking about cars and whatever came to mind. 

Visitation will be held from 2-4pm, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Bing Cancer Center at Riverside Methodist Hospital through the Ohio Health Foundation.
