Tony Hawke, age 58, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on February 11, 2026. Tony was born on August 29, 1967 in Springfield, Ohio to the late James Hawke.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Tina Hensley.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Sheryl, son, Bryan Hawke, bonus son, Connor, siblings, Jim Hawke, Joe Hawke, Patti Lloyd, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Tony was a man built tough, shaped by life, and seemingly blessed with nine lives like a cat. He proudly served in the Air Force and later spent many years as a truck driver, always moving forward no matter what stood in his way. After battling cancer and losing his leg, he showed a kind of strength that made people wonder what he was truly made of—because quitting was never in him. He always kept going and got through so much in his life.
Tony was a devoted husband to Sheryl, a proud father to Bryan, and a committed stepfather to Connor. He showed his love through sarcasm, and plenty of unsolicited advice—usually whether you asked for it or not. If he gave you a hard time, it meant you mattered.
He loved cooking and never made a small meal; Tony cooked like he was feeding an army. He was a natural storyteller with endless tales he loved to tell, often more than once, and always with enthusiasm. A loyal fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State football, he enjoyed cheering on his teams almost as much as sharing stories and meals with the people he loved.
Over the years, Tony’s life was filled with friendships spanning every corner of his world—family, military comrades, fellow truckers, neighbors, and a vast, diverse circle of friends. He formed deep bonds with people at every stage of his life and remained loyal to them through it all. Even when distance kept him apart, whether across towns or only online, Tony stayed connected—remembering birthdays, sharing laughs, and checking in in ways that showed just how much he truly valued each relationship.
Tony kept going through everything life threw at him, and that determination, humor, and love will live on in all who knew him.
