Tonya Louise Smith

Tonya Louise Smith, 48, of Columbus, passed away at home on August 8th, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 16, 1977.

Tonya is survived by daughter’s Jesi (Russell) Samples, Jena (Michael) Derenberger, Alli (Andrew) Derenberger, Anya Jackson, and Ty'ona Page; grandchildren Jace Williams, Alec Williams, Allasen Samples, Emberly Germann, and Rilynn Germann; parents Brian (Tina) Smith, Carol (Chris) McClure; siblings Brian (Sabrina) Smith, Andy (Lindy) Smith, and Natosha (Jeremy) Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Tonya was preceded in death by her grandparents, as well as DeeMarie Speakman, Jaime McComas, Dustin Martin, and Maryah Marcum whom she loved dearly.

Tonya was a dedicated mother and homemaker. When she wasn’t helping keep everyone on schedule, healthy, and cared for: Tonya loved to cook, camp, and spend time laughing and making memories with her children and grandchildren.
