Trudy Ahern Cozad, 76, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. She was born on January 17, 1938 in Lancaster, OH to Roland and Gertrude Ahern.
Trudy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard Cozad; five sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by daughters Kimberly, Michele, and Lisa of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers Patrick of Reynoldsburg, OH and Dan (Dottie) of Lancaster, OH; plus many nieces and nephews.
Trudy was the ninth of ten children and was a graduate of St. Mary's Class of 1956. She retired as Payroll Supervisor for the Ohio State Highway Patrol. She was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Church in Gahanna, OH.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:00am also at Newcomer Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery. A special thanks to the staff of The Laurels of Worthington who provided her final care and St. Michael Catholic Church of Worthington for their pastoral care during her illness.
