Valerie J. Burns

Valerie J Burns age 77 of Grove City, Ohio passed away on June 2, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Grove City Hospital. She was born to the late Victor and Florence Anderson in Chicago Illinois on March 4, 1942. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles A. Burns.

Valerie is survived by one son, Brian L. Burns and two daughters, Christina L. Burns and Joyce A. Burns. Longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Valerie loved the Lord. One of her greatest joys was that all of her three children know the Lord. Valerie was a home economist and a teacher. She spent most of her life advocating for her two disabled children, Brian and Christina. She was a very loving and patient woman. She shared her wisdom with family and friends. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking and especially loved her cats Elka and Kimmy.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 8th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Grove City, Ohio with the funeral service Tuesday, July 9th at 1:30pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, Grove City, Ohio with graveside burial immediately following.
