Vaughn Edward Klein

Vaughn Edward Klein of Galloway, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 26, 1953. The youngest child of Edward and Margaret Ann, siblings of Ronnie and Linda Klein. He was a member of the 1st graduating class of Westland High School in 1971 where he also played football and ran track. He attended Otterbein University for a short time before joining Local Iron Workers 172 in October of 1978 where he later became a lifetime member in 2018. His greatest accomplishment is passing his love of sports to his children and watching them graduate college.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart Helen Edwards for 52 years, his 3 loving children Kelley (DJ) McKinney, Elizabeth (Billy) Richards, and Vaughn (Renee) Klein. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Riley (Madi), Austin, Ella, Faith, Lilly, Tucker, Aubree, Abbie, Eleni, Giavana, and Leonidas.

He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Vaughn was known for his hard work, dedication to his family, and fun sense of humor. He was known as a skilled ironworker, avid golfer, and football fanatic. You could find Vaughn cheering on the Buckeyes and Steelers on fall weekends. He enjoyed being outdoors working on the pool and mowing the lawn with a cigar and his straw hat. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and car shows.

Friends may call at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, where funeral services will then be held at 10:00am on Monday, June 8, 2026. Interment to follow at Galloway Cemetery. Please join us in sporting your favorite football gear. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Kobacker Hospice House.
