Velma Mae Pelfrey

Velma Mae Pelfrey, 94, of Mount Sterling, Ohio, passed away July 9, 2024. She was born on May 22, 1930 in Winchester, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her father, William Hall; mother, Myrtle Richardson; son, Jimmy Edward Pelfrey; daughter, Brenda Parsley. Surviving family includes, daughter, Debra Duty; son, Michael Pelfrey; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. 

Velma was a huge Buckeye fan. She enjoyed cooking, baking and keeping a nice home. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved to decorate her home for the holidays. You could find Velma out on her porch every evening drinking her coffee in her red rocking chair. 

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard, Ohio.
