Vera Mae “Nana” SiggAugust 22, 1929 – November 7, 2025
Vera Mae Sigg, lovingly known as “Nana” to all who were blessed to know her, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on August 22, 1929, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where she met and married the love of her life, Robert Lee Sigg “Pap-Pap”. Vera and Bob shared more than 64 wonderful years together before his passing, building a life full of laughter, love, and cherished memories.
Together, they raised three children — Randy, Cindy, and Lori — and were blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nana took immense pride in her growing family, which includes 10 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren who adored her dearly.
In 1997, Vera and Bob moved from Johnstown to Columbus, Ohio, to be closer to Lori, Cindy, and their families. In her later years, Vera found joy in life’s simple pleasures — watching birds and animals outside her condo window, cheering on her favorite penny slot machines at the casino, and spending time with the people she loved most. When she was younger, she treasured trips out west to Lake Tahoe and visits to Sunset Beach, where she and Bob made countless memories together.
Nana was known for her feisty spirit, quick wit, and the way she always told it like it was. She had a sparkle about her — maybe it was her love of anything gold or yellow. But more than anything, it was the warmth of her heart and her deep love for her family that made her shine.
Nana leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and honesty that will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but her legacy lives on in the family she left behind.
