Verna Ruth Mcfarland

V. Ruth McFarland, 85, of Westerville, Ohio passed away on June 4, 2020. She was born November 2, 1934, to the late Earl and Mildred Baker.
She was a deaconess of the United Church of God and loved serving in the kitchen there. She babysat several children through the years, all of them loved and very special to her. She was a Den mother, Troop leader, Room mother, and the best mom a kid could ask for.
She was preceded in death by her young sister Helen Baker and sister Mary Lou Baker of Marysville, brothers Roy Ramsey of Florida, Ted Baker of Bloomingburg, Dan Baker of Bloomingburg and Dave (Kay) Baker of Van Wert; niece Linda Little of Bloomingburg; nephews Rob Rockwell of Georgia and Daniel Rockwell of Kentucky; brother-in-law Eugene (Ruby) Shanks of Piketon and Overton McFarland of Columbus.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of nearly 65 years, Raymond Dale McFarland, children Ray (Renee) McFarland and Rebecca McFarland; grandchildren Jamie McFarland and William McFarland; and special family members Jay (Carrie) Campbell, Adrian Lanza; along with other loving family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at Bloomingburg Cemetery in Fayette County, Ohio.
