E. Verne Shade, 84, passed away February 11, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmer V. and Elsie K. Shade; wife, Barbara F. Shade; son, Curtis Shade; sister, Katherine Rea; great-grandchild, Jaiden Chapman.
Survived by daughter, Phyllis (Erin Clark) Shade; son, Douglas (Sheila) Shade; grandchildren, Melissa, Casey, Darian, and Destiny; 5 great-grandchildren; and furry companion, Midnight.
Graduated from Central High School and Bob Jones University. Member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
Visitation Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2-4 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Mission, 245 N. Grant Ave., Columbus, OH 43215, where he volunteered in the ministry of Christ.
