Verneda "Neak" Fuller, wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, friend, left this earthly life on November 11, 2020. She was 85 years old.
The tenth of eleven children of the late Virgie and Leonard Mills of Martin County, Kentucky. Verneda loved to share her experiences of growing up on a small farm. She was a long-time resident of the Hamilton Meadows subdivision in Columbus. A talented seamstress, she took on projects big and small, from Halloween costumes to wedding dresses. She never said no to any requests from friends and family. Verneda enjoyed visiting family in Florida, traveling, and seeing her great-grandson. She had many special friends and memories at the Grove City YMCA.
Verneda was preceded in death by husband Jack. She liked to say they had 60 good years and two good kids. She is survived by brothers Wade Mills (Whitehall), Cletis Mills (Pickerington), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by son, Craig (Judith) Fuller, Omaha, Nebraska; daughter Charissa Fuller, Wooster, Ohio; grandchildren, KeriAnn (Dan) Shuman; Amanda Catron; Samuel Fuller (Madeline Hall); adored great-grandson, Gregory; and loving in-laws Linda and Larry Mayo of Florida.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or services.
The family wishes to thank both the Palliative Medicine and In-Home Hospice programs of Ohio's Hospice LifeCare for their compassionate care of Verneda. Thank you to Adrian, Erin, Karen L., Mallary, Mary, Megan, Mark, Bob, Rebecca, Raylene, Michaela, Bridget, Christy and many other for your support and kindness.
